Happy Anniversary!!!!

Today is our 2 year anniversary! It feels like just yesterday we met for the first time. This is a picture of when we were first dating.

A year after we started dating, we got married in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 29, 2006 for time and all eternity. That was the most important day in our lives. I am so grateful to Ryan for taking me to the temple so that we could be sealed together forever.

In January of last year, we found out that we were going to be parents for the first time! We were so excited. Ryan was and still is a very protective father to Boston. He was so funny! When I was first pregnant, he would worry when I laughed because he thought I was "shaking the baby." It was hilarious!

And now, Ryan is the best husband and dad anybody could ever ask for! He will do anything for our family. And he works so hard at work and at school to be able to provide for us. For our anniversary, he surprised me with a trip to Arizona where we first met and fell in love. It brings back such memories! I love you Ryan and am so grateful Heavenly Father led us to be together forever!

Purse Tag!

Ok so I was purse tagged a LONG time ago! (Sorry Rachel!) So here is my purse from Target which I absolutely love because it's big enough to be my diaper bag too!
And everything I normally put in it:
-Wipes
-Diaper case (with diapers in it of course)
-Baggy with cheerios in it
-Wallet
-Burp cloth
-Bottle with formula powder in it
-Boston's jacket just in case
-Cell phone
-Burt's' Bees chapstick...yum!
-Bath and Body Works lip gloss...yum!
-Antibacterial hand gel
-Hotel lotion from Hawaii...yum!
-A couple books/toys for Boston
-Nursing cover

And these are the things I have decided are the most important:
Diapers and wipes, I'm sure you can guess why...Antibacterial hand gel. I still try to wash my hands as much as possible before playing with Boston. And I know some of you may think I'm crazy cause he is 8 months old now, but I have to say Boston is the only baby of all of his friends that didn't get a serious sickness through the winter! And I am a nurse, so I just don't like germs! And anybody that knows me knows that I am a chapstick freak and Burt's Bees is my favorite!

So...I started to lay everything out on the floor this morning to take a picture of it all and Ryan couldn't figure out what I was doing. When I told him about the purse tag and what I was supposed to do, he thought it to be hilarious! (He's just not updated on what goes on in the blogging world!) So here is a picture of my two boys thinking they have a crazy mom and wife!
Now I tag...Ally Johns, Kaylee Houser, Amber Hansen and Elsha Russell!

Update on Boston, and Honeymoon pictures!

Well Boston has turned 8 months old now. He is just as happy as ever. He is getting so big! He weighs 16 lbs 9 oz. He can wave, give high fives, kick a ball, smile for the camera and is just learning how to clap. He is such a mommy's boy! If I walk out of the room, he will start to cry. It's pretty funny. He has got his first tooth, and I have to say this one was easy! I didn't even know it was coming! One day, he was trying to eat my finger, and I felt his gums and there was a tooth! He has another one trying to come in right now too. He has had a little runny nose and cough from the tooth, but he's not more fussy and hasn't had any fevers! I hope all the teeth are this easy!
These are Boston's friends. All of these babies were born within 5 days of each other. From left to right is Ian, Boston, Jaylee, and Carson. Jaylee totally dominates all the boys. Not only is she bigger, but she loves to roll all over them. She has fun doing it, but sometimes the boys don't like it. It's funny to watch her though cause she just rolls all over the place!

This is Shauna's baby, Ian. It was fun being pregnant together with Shauna and these two boys have been best friends since then! I'm sure they were up in heaven together too.
So I was looking through some pictures on my computer and found the pictures from our honeymoon, almost 2 years ago. So I thought I would post some of them. We went on a cruise that went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. It was such a blast! This one is on Puerto Vallarta. We took a four wheeling tour. We were really dusty by the end!
This background looks fake because it is so pretty! This was on Mazatlan over looking the beach. Mazatlan was probably the prettiest island we saw. We went parasaling there. It was so fun and not as scary as I thought it would be. It was actually very peaceful once you were flying above the ocean overlooking the beach.
We swam in the ocean and then swam at this hotel pool too.
On Cabo, we went kayaking around the beach. Well it was really, really crowded. We were trying to stay out of the way of the other boats as much as possible. So we are rowing along and we look up and see a boat headed straight for us. The driver wasn't looking ahead because he was looking at the people he was pulling on the water weenie. He just kept getting closer and closer. We realized then that he wasn't going to look. He got probably 10 feet away from us and we just screamed as loud as we possibly could and he looked up and swerved at the last second. It was so scary! Here we had just gotten married and we thought we were going to die on our honeymoon! Thank goodness we didn't!
This was our boat...The Carival Pride.
This was the inside of the boat. It was beautiful!
Our anniversary is coming up next week and it will be 2 years! It feels like just yesterday we were married and look at where we are now. We have the most beautiful son who just completes us. Thanks Ryan for marrying me! I love you so much!

Dustin's Eagle

Yesterday, my youngest brother Dustin at 15 years old received his Eagle Scout award. What an accomplishment! He is such a hard worker and always is involved with everything. He does football, basketball, track, plays in the band, was in the school play last year and is just involved with so many things at school. He has so many friends, it's no wonder why he's the Student Body President this year. I just had to make a tribute to my not-so-little brother. Love ya Dust!

Our Trip to Hawaii!

This was Boston's first ever plane ride and he did awesome! And it helped that we had first class tickets! We got lucky. They were over booked by two people, and they asked for volunteers to be bumped and they would fly us first class to Oahu (instead of Maui) and we would spend the night there and fly in to Maui in the morning, and they also would give us $800 to fly anywhere Delta flew to make up for it...so we jumped on the opportunity! We had an excellent flight, and now we can plan another fun trip!

We finally got to Maui and Boston was so funny. I think he was just so excited to get off the plane, he just kept laughing and giggling the whole time. Everyone thought he was so cute. It was pretty hilarious!

The pools in Hawaii aren't heated like the pools here because the weather is so warm. So it was a little cold for Boston at first, but then he got used to it and loved it! We stayed at a hotel called the Grand Wailea. There were tons of little pools that were connected together with little water slides. We took Boston down all of them. He thought it was pretty fun.
Ryan and Boston in front of the adult pool at the Grand Wailea. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful!

This is the sunset the second night in Maui. It was beautiful! You can't tell, but that's Ryan in the picture.

Sunset from the same night. Sunsets in Hawaii, I have to say, are one of Heavenly Father's most beautiful creations.
The whole Smith gang! Cute family huh!
When we went to church, we crammed all 15 of us in the Expedition we rented. You can't really tell in the picture, but we had to put 4 people in the trunk, 4 people in the back and middle seats, 2 people in the passenger seat and then the driver. It was pretty funny. For easter the ward had a really nice program. It was actually a missionary farewell and it was really cute cause after sacrament, they all sing a song called Aloha Oui and as everybody sang, all the members of the family would walk up to him and give him a hug and a lei.We went to a luau and while the dancers were dancing, Boston was just staring at them. So we had to get his picture taken with them.

Ryan and Boston at the luau. The sunsets were pretty everyday.
After the luau, we walked along the beach. This was Boston's first time feeling sand on his feet. It was pretty funny to watch him. He just kept digging his little toes into the sand.
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to turn this pic. Ryan was getting ready to take a picture of just me and Boston right here, and this lady walked up and offered to take our picture. So she did and after she walked away, Ryan was totally convinced it was Jodie Foster. It turns out it wasn't her, but she was at the hotel so we had our eye out. But we did see a few other famous people. Ryan and Boston got their picture taken with Magic Johnson who was there with Dave Winfield, a baseball hall-of-famer. I didn't get to see them, but I guess they were being really cute and playing with all the kids. Dave was pitching balls so the kids could hit them. Ryan also talked to Pierce Brosnan aka James Bond, and Maria Sherapova, a famous tennis player. We saw Sean Kingston who is an island style singer/rapper. We put some of his songs on our playlist. Ryan's sister and husband thought they saw Owen Wilson, and we heard that Brett Favre was there, but never saw him.

Every morning, we had this yummy breakfast. We miss that! We could have fresh fruit, omelets, waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, basically anything we wanted! It was so delightful!
All the kids loved to go on the beach and build sand castles. There were some awesome ones that other people had made. There were crocodiles, big castles, sea turtles, and even a person floating on an inner-tube!

Me and my hubby!

This was the sunset the last night we were there. We miss Hawaii!
Thanks Chuck and Julie for an amazing trip!
